Lisa H. Fishbein, Attorney at Law
My Practice
As a property tax attorney, I assist my residential clients in obtaining a reduction in the assessed value of their property in order to reduce their property taxes. I work on a contingency basis and charge a percentage of the savings I obtain for you. In Lake County I do not charge a retainer fee; you only pay me if I save you money.
I research and analyze a property to determine whether a property tax appeal is appropriate. When a client is over assessed in Lake County, I file an appeal with the Lake County Board of Review on a client’s behalf and appear in person at the hearing to contest the case. In the event an appeal is unsuccessful, I file with PTAB, the state appeals board. In Cook County, I file an appeal with the Cook County Assessor’s Office, then to the Cook County Board of Review, and, in the event I am not successful, I file with PTAB.
My small practice enables me to research and analyze all of my cases, as well as appear in person at the hearings. I return phone calls promptly and give my clients the care and attention they deserve.
Over the past 9 years, I have reduced a total of over $125,000,000 in assessed market values for my clients in Lake and Cook Counties, winning 95% of my cases. I provide legal services for my clients’ with the utmost care and attention in a very professional manner. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about my practice.
